13. Go to a Farmer’s Market

On Wednesday Caleb & I went to the new Farmer's Market in downtown Wilson. We had lots of fun even though it was HOT out! I bought blueberries, zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, cucumbers and sourdough bread. I enjoy cooking with fresh veggies. I hope to visit the market again over the summer.

It was "Kid's Day" so there were extra activities set up. Caleb had a blast playing in the spray fountain. He was soaking wet when we left. We finished up our visit with a scoop of homemade banana pudding ice cream - DELISH!

The veggies sound yummy! As does the ice cream:o) I've been contemplating getting fresh tomatoes to make my own spaghetti sauce - how hard can it be, right? Glad you & Caleb had fun. He is definitely going to be a child who appreciates the outdoors and locally grown food!

Oh..and for some reason the picture isn't working. Is it just my browser?

I want to make my own spaghetti sauce too - my family has gone tomato picking before. We should tag along!

I re-did the picture, its not that great but the only one I took. :)
